What Can I Do With a Major in... Anthropology

A bachelor’s degree in Anthropology includes studying human beings and their origins. Students learn about similarities and differences between humans and other primates, as well as humans and other humans. An Anthropology student will study human beings physical nature, interpersonal relationships, and social/cultural behavior. In addition to these, students in Anthropology will study biological and physical anthropology, human paleontology and prehistoric archaeology, hominid evolution, sociocultural anthropology, and applications to areas such as medicine, museum studies, and international affairs.

A majority of Anthropologists are employed in the management, scientific, and technical consulting services industry. While working as consultants, Anthropologists often apply their knowledge to problems ranging from economic development issues to forensics.
